Biography - Wendy Wigg

Wendy Wigg started her career in executive search in 1979 when she moved to Switzerland and worked in Lausanne for the Thorburn Geiger Group acting primarily as a Candidate Coordinator for this company's construction & mining equipment clients in the Middle East.  During her time with Thorburn Geiger, Wendy spent several months working out of their London and Melbourne offices training new Secretaries and assisting in the induction of newly hired consultants. 

After ten years with Thorburn Geiger, Wendy moved back to London and joined Heidrick & Struggles as Personal Assistant to one of the firm's Financial Services Partners.  Here she gained invaluable experience working for a global search firm and she spent time working for several different Partners. 

In 1992 Wendy was offered the opportunity of returning to Thorburn Geiger and to help set up their City of London office, where she assisted with the hiring, training and supporting of their Consultants and Researchers.

Wendy was then approached by the Managing Partner of the London office of Heidrick & Struggles and invited to return to the firm as his PA.   From 1997 until 2005 Wendy held various PA roles to Senior Partners as well as the role of European Administrator for LeadersOnline, the internet recruiting subsidiary.

In 2005 she took up a contract EA position with Atlas Ventures, a venture capital firm.  In 2006 Wendy was headhunted once more to join another global firm, Korn/Ferry, where she became the Executive Assistant to the European Head of Financial Services before again being headhunted to another new role, this time at CT Partners. 

Most recently, Wendy returned to Thorburn Geiger, initially based out of their Lausanne office and eventually she helped them re-establish a UK operation in London.
